Read Reboot, our 2024 strategic plan, come to our AGM on Monday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. and volunteer with us. 2024 is going to be a great year.
Heart of the City Festival Society of Edmonton's objectives include efforts to empower all community members of McCauley and surrounding neighbourhoods with a free-access festival experience in their own backyard, open for all to participate as artists, artisans, entrepreneurs or patrons of the arts.
With that in mind, we've created a strategic plan that looks at where we've been, where we are and where we are going: including this year, when we celebrate our 20th anniversary.
We invite you to take a look. Our plan tells the story of how we began, how we've adapted during challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond -- including through free community workshops like those held in 2023 -- and our goals for an exciting 20th anniversary in 2024.
These include the integration of the Indigenous Fashion Show and its host of talented, local Indigenous artists, having the youth stage as a separate performance area, and culturally-focused performances from all those that collectively represent the mosaic of McCauley and that of greater Edmonton.
If you are interested in volunteering, please attend our AGM on on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Culina McCauley (10823 95 st.).
Come hungry; dinner will be served thanks to our new partner, Culina Family of Restaurants and Catering.
You can also email hello@heartcityfest.com if you would like to volunteer. We'd love to hear from you.
