Calling all poets and spoken word artists! Heart of the City Music and Arts Festival is still accepting applications for artists to perform at The Beat Spoken Word Stage. Bring your words, journals, and inspiration! Email hotcbeatstage@gmail.com and provide links to videos or examples of your written work. Please include your age and whether or not you'd want to read at the LGBT12S+ event.
To audition and meet the organizers of The Beat Stage, look for Shima and Corine at the Massawa Cafe on Tuesday nights. Read at their open stage with Breath In Poetry and consider yourself auditioned! Keep in mind that your work must be "4f&bf" (for families and being friendly). This year we're focusing on the positive, therefore join us in our theme of "Hope, Healing and Harmony"!
